FIRST TIME DISCOVERY OF GUANGFULIN REMAINS AND LIVING PALEOENVIRONMENT OF ANCESTORS IN SHANGHAI REGION

  • Guangfulin relics was re-explored in 1999 in Songjiang of Shanghai. Guangfulin remains culture was found for the first time there, and there are some similarities to Wangyoufang type cultural historical remains from eastern Henan Province. Samples were taken from the west wall in unit 05SGIT1240 of Guangfulin relics for sporopollen and algae research.According to the characteristics of the sporopollen and algae assemblages, three sporopollen zones were distinguished, and paleovegetation and paleoenvironment were reconstructed. And then, we analyzed the living environment and development of ancestors' cultivation. The discovery of Guangfulin remains provides precious new data for culture development and processes around the Taihu Lake region.
