METHODS FOR DELINEATING THE RESOURCE PERSPECTIVE AREA OF COBALT-RICH CRUSTS

  • The paper brings forward four different methods for delineating the resource perspective areas of cobalt-rich crusts, and they are as follows:water depth method, exploration engineering distance extrapolation method,gridding differential coefficient method and comprehensive method. The advantage and disadvantage are also compared with each other. The different resource perspective areas of cobalt-rich crusts are delineated using different methods, and their resources are also evaluated. The results show that the four methods are related to one another, and the water depth method and exploration engineering distance extrapolation method can give the approximate variation range of resource future, and gridding differential coefficient method is the base to delineate better resource perspective area, but the comprehensive method considers the geological rules, so it can give one resource perspective area which is closer to reality. Each of the four methods fits its own investigate degree and research aim, and has its own precision.
