ACCUMULATION CHARACTERISTICS AND EXPLORATION PERSPECTIVE OF THE TIGHT OIL IN SOUTHERN POYANG DEPRESSION

  • The integrated study of the reservoir porosity and permeability, the geochemistry of hydrocarbon source rocks, the contact relationship of the source rocks and reservoir, the physical properties of crude oil and the crude oil display characteristics suggests that the crude oil in the southern Poyang Depression is a kind of tight oil. In combination of the geology elements for petroleum accumulation, oil-source correlation and petroleum accumulation geochronology with fluid inclusion, it is revealed that the major source rocks in the Poyang Depression is the coaly shale in the Laoshan Member of the Leping Formation and the tight oil was formed in the early stage of Himalayan. The accumulation process of the tight oil in the Guanshan Member was studied. Based on the study of the display characteristics of oil and gas in southern Poyang Depression, it's believed that sedimentary facies, source rocks and faults are the main control factors for the accumulation of tight oil. The mechanism of enrichment of tight oil in the Guanshan Member is summarized in this paper. All the data bring us to the conclusion that the tight oil has broad exploration prospects in the southern Poyang Depression.
