TYPICAL AUTHIGENIC MINERAL ASSEMBLAGES AFTER CO2 INJECTED INTO SANDSTONE

  • CO2 injection will transform sandstone reservoirs.The early filling will lead to corrosion,dissolution,and formation of some detrital minerals of secondary porosity and also generate some authigenic minerals.For different research areas,the authigenic mineral assemblages are different after CO2 injection.In this article,there are some typical authigenic mineral assemblages,including dawsonite + kaolinite,dawsonite + dolomite ±siderite,but only dawsonite and non dawsonite are researched.Then,the authors analyze and discuss the origins of different formations.
