Abstract:
During the present study we surveyed the bio-geochemistry in the coastal economic zone in Fujian Province. 479 sediment samples were collected, and 52 elements, pH and organic carbon were analyzed. Heavy metals such as Cr,Cu,Pb, Zn,Cd,and Hg in the bottom sedimentary substances were comprehensively estimated in environmental quality, based on the standard of Quality of Marine Sediment(GB18668-2002). The analysis results indicate that coastal sea in Fujian is basically a clear band, accounting for roughly 70.80% of the whole sea area. Sea area north of Lianjiang in the eastern Fujian Province is a zone of mild pollution where Cr and Cu exceed the standard amount. Sea zone in the estuary of Jiulong River and Xigang harbor in Xianmen is heavily polluted where Pb and Zn overrun the standard, accounting for roughly 2.5% in concentration.
