RELATIONSHIP OF THE SOIL FLUORINE ENRICHMENT AND MARINE INVASION IN THE PEARL RIVER DELTA

Abstract: On the basis of the test data of representative soil samples from shallow and deep soil in the Pearl River delta, fluorine elements have seriously and widely polluted the soil. The high concentration regions of fluorine are distributed in the alluvial plain, controlled by marine sedimentation. The fluorine concentra-tions are high, and change little from surface to 1.5-2.5 m subsurface. The high concentration regions were coupled with marine invasion ranges in the Holocene, indicating the fluorine pollution was caused by natural factors in the Pearl River delta rather than by human economic activities. We need to take corre-sponding measures to avoid, prevent and repair the fluorine pollution in soil.
